The Golden Visa in Spain is an opportunity for non-EU nationals to apply your residency in Spain through Spain investments. You should apply at your nearest Spanish Embassy or consulate in your home country. Here is how it works: Investing either: 1. A total of 500,000 EUR in property(s) in Spain. You can not mortgage the first 500,000 EUR.
2. 1,000,000 EUR in share of Spanish companies or bank deposits.
3. 2,000,000 EUR in Spanish government bonds.
There is no minimum residence period. It is valid for one year. During this year, you can enter Spain to exchange it for a residence permit, valid for 2 years. You can renew the residence permit indefinitely provided the investment is maintained. There is no minimum stay requirement to renew your permit.
If you want to stay in Spain, you can apply for permanent residency after 5 years of continually residing in Spain (at least 6 months of the year).
Application for family members (dependents): 1. You must include documentation (marriage or birth certificates) as proof.
2. Spouses, children under 18 years of age and dependent elderly parents qualify.
Real Estate Proof of Ownership: You will need a certificate that the Land Registry issued within 3 months before your visa application. If not, proof that the documents have been entered for filing and proof of payment. If the sale is not finalized, submit the preliminary contract including the down payment and letter from a financial institution in Spain which proves required funds are available.
You must be at least 18 years old, have no criminal record, have health insurance in Spain and not been previously refused a visa or entry into the Schegen Zone.
